The Powell County High School Marching Pirates qualified for state competition by placing in the top eight at regional competition last Saturday at Rowan County High School in Morehead. This is the second year in a row the band has advanced to state semi-finals. They will take the field at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eastern High School in Louisville. (Click Local News for story)
