State Representative Richard Henderson (far right) presented a check for $5000,000 to Powell County for the Regional Sewer Project. The General Assembly passed a budget that gave Powell County, Beechfork Water Commission, Powell's Valley Water District, Stanton and Clay City a combined total of $1,550,000 for necessary water and sewer projects. Powell Judge Executive Darren Farmer (left), Stanton Mayor Dale Allen and Clay City Mayor Jimmy Caudill accepted the check from Henderson for the sewer project.
