James H. “Jamie” Barnett was escorted into the Powell Circuit Courtroom last Wednesday by local and state police officers for a change of venue hearing. The change of venue has been requested by Barnett’s attorneys stating that pre-trial publicity would make it difficult to have a fair trial in Powell County. The prosecution disagrees.
