Reece Strange (left) and Eloise Rose work hard to keep the dumplings cooked up for
the annual Community Friends Christmas Dinner. Rose and her husband, Jackie, started
the dinner as a way to make sure everyone has a hot meal and no one is alone on
Christmas. This was the ninth year they have held the dinner. Strange and her daughter,
Connie Johnson, have been helping since the very first dinner. The Rose’s decided
to help others in honor of their son Scott who was killed in a traffic accident in 1998.(Click Local News story)
