Earl Cutright, 67
Earl Owen Cutright, 67, of 365 Slate Ave., Owingsville, husband of Carolyn Parker Cutright, died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital, Mt. Sterling. He was born Oct. 31, 1940 in Akron, Ohio to Lotus Cutright and Dorothy Dotson Ludwig.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Cutright of Owingsville; sons, Darl Cutright of Morehead, Earl Cutright Jr. of Owingsville, and George Reis of Bath County; daughters, Vickie Cutright Connie Cutright Crystal Fouch, and Christy Wilson, all of Bath County; father, Lotus Cutright; mother, Dorothy Ludwig of Chandler, Ariz.; three brothers; one sister; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at Wells Clay City Chapel by Rev. Warren Rogers with burial at Hogg Creek Cemetery, Montgomery County.
Mintie Boyd, 101
Mintie K. Boyd, 101, widow of Noga Boyd Sr., died Wednesday at her home. She was born Nov. 16, 1906 in Powell County to the late Robert G. and Emma Grayson Hall. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her sons, Raymond and wife Treva Boyd, Danny and wife, Orene Boyd, and Jimmy and wife Bonnie Boyd, all of Stanton; daughter, Gloria and husband Carl Ledford of Stanton; 40 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren; 54 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sons, Noga Boyd Jr., Eugene Boyd and Kenneth Boyd.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 at Wells Funeral Home, Stanton with burial at Rest Haven Cemetery, Stanton.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Marietta Stone, 80
Marietta Martin Stone, 80, Hinkston Road, Mt. Sterling, wife of George B. Stone, Mt. Sterling, died Feb. 10, 2008 at Hospice Care Center, Lexington. She was born Feb. 20, 1927 to the late Virgil Martin and the late Maude Beningfield. She attended the First Presbyterian Church. She was a federal employee of the Veterans Administration and Tobacco Market News. She was a homemaker and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by one brother, James Richard Margin; and one sister, Jane Martin Reed.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Jennifer) Stone of Arlington, Texas; daughters, Emily (Stove) Hall of Sharpsburg, Holly Stone (William Campomanes) of O’Fallon, Ill., and Mary (John) Johnson of Louisville; grandchildren, Michael Stone, Anna and Rebecca Campomanes, and Rachel Johnson; sisters, Nora Lee Walters and Wilda Derickson, both of Stanton and Hilda Glenn of St. Charles Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gary Scott with burial at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
Pallbearers were Wallace Reed, N.H. Stone III, John Judy, Nick Shrout, Chad Vice and Robert Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Conlee, Roberta Hunt, Maggie Hatton, Jo Davis, Rose Ballard and Caroletta Benton.

Wendall Roberts, 69
Wendall Herman Roberts, 69, 520 Breckinridge St., Stanton, died Monday at his home. He was born March 11, 1938 in Powell County to the late Matt and Myrtle Marcum Roberts.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Roberts of Stanton; daughter, Angela Marie Roberts of Stanton; grandsons, Wendall Dwayne, Kevin Dale and Michael Paul Roberts; great-granddaughter, Britt Lee Roberts.
Private services were held Thursday at Wells Funeral Home, Stanton by Bro. Larry Shoemaker with burial at Roberts Cemetery, Stanton. |
