Clay City Police Chief Shannon Taylor, Stanton Police Officer Ricky Puckett, Powell County Sheriff Danny Rogers and Deputy Clerk Sherry Ashley assisted three young men from Clay City Elementary as they checked out the wrestling action figures at the Wal-Mart in Winchester on Monday morning. The officers and students were taking part in the Shop With a Cop Program, which makes sure that underprivileged children receive a gift for Christmas. The program was a top priority project for fallen Clay City Police Chief Randy Lacy, who sometimes dressed as Santa and delivered gifts to children’s houses.
