Stacia Tichenor, 38
Stacia C. Tichenor, 38, St. Joseph, Mo., mother of Hunter Crowell, died Aug. 6, 2007 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri. She was born Sept. 27, 1968 in Owensboro to the late Lora Ruth Smyth.
She is survived by a son, Hunter Crowell; a brother, Jeremiah Bullington, both of St. Joseph, Mo.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Wells Clay City Chapel by Rev. Jimmy Clark with burial at Mt. Paran Cemetery, Leeco.
Pallbearers were Jeff Pelfrey, Dwight Rupard, Steve Hale, Phillip Stone, Larry Jones and Junior Burkhart.
Samuel Baker, 56
Samuel Eugene Baker, 56, 882 Cow Creek Road, Stanton, husband of Frances Dee Martin Baker, died Wednesday at University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born Sept. 22, 1950 to the late Olney and Daisy Skidmore Baker. He was an Air Force veteran and was employed by Kroger.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Dee Baker of Stanton; son, Anthony Morton; daughter, Tina Jo Svatba of Stanton; brothers, Jimmy and Robert G. Baker of Stanton; sisters, Sue and husband Henry Pitts of Jeffersonville and Patty and husband Tony Vaske of Stanton; a grandchild, Eric Satba; nieces, Christy Meadows and Georgia Vaske; and great-nephews, Anthony Meadows.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jenny Lynn Baker; sisters, Betty and Linda Baker; and a brother, Forrest Clay Baker.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Chop Chestnut Cemetery by Rev. Daryl Mullins.
Pallbearers were Phillip Svatba, Timmy Phillip, Anthony Morton, Ray Morton, Caz Morton and Tony Vaske.
Arrangements were by Wells Funeral Home Stanton.
Carlie Ballard, 78
Carlie Gilbert Ballard, 78, resident of Harmony Court Nursing Home, Cincinnati, Ohio, died Aug. 7, 2007. He was born in Powell County, a son of the late Elza and Grace Barnes Ballard. He was preceded in death by two children, Darrell and Teresa Ballard.
He is survived by three brothers and four sisters.
Care Cremation Service, Cincinnati, Ohio handled arrangements.
Inis McIntosh, 71
Inis Thomas McIntosh, 71, of 500 Reservoir Lane, formerly of Rowland Avenue, wife of Harlan McIntosh, died at 12:55 a.m. Aug. 10, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. A native of Powell County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie Aines Olinger. She was a retired Sylvania employee and a member of the Lighthouse Church of God.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Lopez of Winchester; a son, Billy Clay Thomas of Winchester; three grandchildren, April Jako and Shawn Lopez, both of Winchester and Amber Thomas of Lexington; three great-grandchildren, Haley and Harley Jako and Makayla Marie Lopez; two sisters, and a brother-n-law, Velma Anderson of Jeffersonville and Darlene and Cordie Buckland of Clay City; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Daymon Olinger of Clay City, and Donald and Sharon Olinger of Winchester; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. Ryan Dotson with burial at the Winchester Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Corey Jako, Larry Olinger, Donald Olinger, Doug Oliver, Cordie Buckland and Shawn Lopez.

Wanda Wells, 78
Wanda (Thelma) Taulbee Wells, 78, Franklin, Ohio, formerly of Campton, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton following a lengthy battle with leukemia. She was born Aug. 13, 1928 in Wolfe County. She attended Alvan Drew School in Pine Ridge and retired from the Miamisburg City School System. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Jeff Wells; a son, Roscoe Wells; her mother, Susie Stamper Taulbee; her father, Marion Lewis (Sam) Taulbee; sisters, Ella Custer, Margie Smith, Lavon Taulbee and Mary Susan Smith; brothers, Forest Taulbee, Milford Taulbee, Earnest Taulbee and Mason Taulbee. She will be remembered for her generous and caring nature as she found great joy in serving others. In addition to raising her large family, she opened her heart and home to several relatives and cared for numerous neighborhood children in need of someone to mother them. She loved birds and flowers. To family and friends, she was the expert to consult on history, genealogy and all things in nature. She was extremely resourceful, talented and creative. There was no object she could not repair, nor any task she would not tackle.
She is survived by her children, Bill J. Jr. (Maria) Wells of Phoenix, Ariz.; Katy Mengil of Springboro, Ohio, Brenda (David) Hellard of Grove City, Ohio, Gary (Sandy) Wells of Springfield, Ohio, John (Ginger) Wells of Frannklin, Ohio, Cary (Dawn) Wells of Clarksville, Ohio, a daughter-in-law, Terry Wells of Spring boro, Ohio; sisters, Dorothy (David) Bucher of Germantown, Ohio and Betty Tyra of Campton; grandchildren, Lana Rachelle (Todd) Helton, Michael, Andrew (Missy) and Mark Hellard and Jeff III, Adam (Jessie), Aaron and Stephen Wells; step-grandchildren, Debra Farris, Danny (Jessica) Sotelo, Samantha Jackson and Madison Delong; adopted grandchild, Tracey Wells; special great-grandchildren, Nicholas Helton, Cody and Brooklynn Adkins and Brittany Wells; and step-great-grandchildren, Gina, Vanessa, Angelina, Samantha, Daniel, Sonja and Brianna Sotelo; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 13, 2007 at 10 a.m. to celebrate the 79th anniversary of her birth at Chuck Purvis at Anderson Funeral Home, Franklin, Ohio. Graveside burial service was held at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2007 at Sugar Orchard Cemetery at Stillwater.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Dayton or the American Cancer Society.
